‘The Uptown Chronicles’ Continues Win Streak With Victory At The Reims Red Movie Awards

SDG Quantum Productions animated project ‘The Uptown Chronicles’ continues to receive acclaim for its spellbinding trailer. After nominations and wins from prestigious establishments as The Oniros Film Festival and the Prisma Rome Independent Film Awards, The Uptown Chronicles has now been bestowed its third straight award for Best Trailer by the Reims Red Movie Awards.

The win marks the second international film festival to recognize the project. Founded in 2019, The annual ceremony is held in Reims, capital of champagne and the French “art de vivre”. The best films are shown at a cinema with a “Belle Epoque” decoration. For the awards ceremony, honorees walk through the RED carpet and photo-call, The jury, represented by professionals from the film industry, will elect the Best Of the Year during the ceremony, and the winners will be able to take home the prestigious RED Award.

The Uptown Chronicles is created by Steven Goard. The project, which will launch as an animated film before transitioning into an ongoing series, is written by award winning multi-hyphenate Alonge Hawes, who will also co-direct alongside Goard. The star-studded voice cast includes Zane “Lil Zane” Copeland Jr (BMF), Major Attaway (Broadway’s Aladdin), Jasmin Richardson (The Book of Mormon), Shani Hawes (Silver & Gold), Jason C. Louder (Wu-Tang: An American Saga), Marie Katre (“Mo”), and Goard himself. The series features cutting edge animation provided by Dom Fred Films utilizing Unreal Engine 5. Goard will serve as executive produce under SDG Quantum Productions and Hawes will executive produce under A Million Stories One Pen productions.
